Moroccan Craft, Set in Stone
A boutique atelier laying tile, marble and natural stone for the kitchens, baths and surfaces you live on every day.
Stone, laid by hand, to outlast the hands that laid it.
L'art de la pierre posée — the art of laid stone.

Six disciplines, one hand. From a single carved basin to a full marble staircase, every surface is treated as one.
Kitchens
Worktops, islands and splashbacks in honed marble and porcelain — built to be cooked on and admired.
Showers & Bathrooms
Wet rooms and bathing spaces wrapped in marble and zellige, sealed for a lifetime of calm.
Stone & Porcelain Sinks
Basins carved from single blocks of stone, or cast in porcelain — sculptural, seamless, quietly extraordinary.
Flooring
Large-format stone, terrazzo and patterned tile, laid dead-level to flow from room to room.
Zellige Feature Walls
Hand-cut zellige set tile by tile — living colour that shifts and glows with the light.
Marble Staircases & Fireplaces
Sculpted marble stairs and hearths — architectural centrepieces cut, matched and polished to a mirror.
Chosen at the quarry, glazed to order
We work a curated palette of stone and clay — hand-selected slabs and kiln-fired zellige, no two batches ever alike.

Dar El-Bahia — a marble bathing suite
A private riad in Gueliz, reimagined as a single volume of stone. We book-matched a full block of pale marble across the walls, floor and a monolithic carved basin, so the veining runs unbroken from one surface to the next — grout lines planned to vanish.
The slow, deliberate way
Old patience held to a contemporary standard. Four steps, no shortcuts — nothing leaves our hands until the joints disappear.
Consultation
We visit, measure and listen — understanding how you live in a space before a single tile is chosen.
Design
Layouts, veining and colour are drawn to scale, so you see the finished room before we begin.
Sourcing
We hand-select slabs at the quarry and glaze zellige to order — no two batches ever alike.
Installation & Handover
Our maalems set every piece on site, level and true, then seal and hand back the room spotless.
Trusted with the surfaces that last
“They book-matched a single block of Calacatta across our entire kitchen. Guests think it's one impossible slab.”
Yasmine BerradaHomeowner, Marrakech“The zellige wall is the first thing every guest comments on. The colour is genuinely alive.”
Karim FassiBoutique hotelier“Dead-level floors, invisible joints, delivered on schedule. This standard of finishing is rare.”

Maison Zellij was born in the tile quarters of the medina, where zellige has been chiselled by hand for eight centuries. We carry that patience into every project — the slow, deliberate work of setting stone that will outlast its makers.
What has changed is the precision. Laser-levelled substrates, calibrated slabs, book-matched veining planned to the millimetre — the old craft held to a contemporary standard. Nothing leaves our hands until the grout lines run true and the joints disappear.
We take on a handful of commissions each year and treat every surface as one. From a single carved basin to a full marble staircase, the maalem's hand is on every tile.
